Privacy Notice
We at Altamira Lighting respect your right to privacy. Information
entered during ordering process will be treated as confidential. If you
request a catalogue or opt to be on our mailing list, we will keep you
updated on our current developments, new products, retail sales and any
other shopping opportunities. You may unsubscribe at any time either by
e-mail request or through this website. Altamira Lighting does not sell
or disseminate any user information.
Gift Certificates
If you buy or receive a gift certificate, we send the actual hard copy
to you via mail. You can either redeem it at our store in Rhode Island
or contact us via e-mail or phone (401-245-7676) to place your order.
Shipping Charges
These shipping fees do not necessarily represent UPS published rates and
may include handling charges levied by this store.
Damages
Here at Altamira, we take every measure in the packing and shipping
process to make sure your order arrives safely and undamaged.
Unfortunately, damages can occur. If the contents of your carton are
damaged upon delivery, please notify us within five days by e-mail
(Michael@altamiralighting.com), phone (401-245-7676) or fax
(401-245-6262). It is critical to keep the entire contents of the
shipment including carton and packing material. Otherwise, a damage
claim cannot be processed through UPS. Once you have notified us, we
will direct you as to what to do with the contents and promptly ship you
a replacement.
Shipping
Most of our products can be shipped within 2-3 weeks of an order.
Exceptions include not in-stock items and custom orders. In these cases,
we will notify you by e-mail the estimated ship date. Customers
interested in shipping outside the continental US must contact us for
pricing and shipping charges.
Fax/Phone Orders
We also accept orders via phone(401-245-7676) or fax (401-245-6262)
provided "ship to", credit card, and e-mail information is supplied. You
will receive a confirmation via e-mail or fax once the order is entered
into our system.
Returns and Exchanges
We do not accept returns for items ordered unless it was shipped as our
error. If you are not happy with the products color, size, or style we
will gladly accept exchanges within two weeks of receiving the order. We
ask that you notify us by phone, fax or e-mail, and we will then issue
you a Return Goods Authorization Number (RGA#) that should be marked on
the outside of the returning carton. We will also provide you with
return shipping options and answer any questions you may have.
The returned item must be as well packed as it was received, using the
original carton and sufficient packing material, as UPS will not honor
any claims for insufficiently packed products. Notify us via e-mail or
phone if the original carton is too damaged to travel again. It is in
your best interest to insure the box for the retail value of the item.
Any returned items that we receive damaged are the responsibility of the
customer, who must then contact UPS directly for an insurance claim on
the merchandise. Once we receive the returned item, we will promptly
issue you an exchange or store credit for the value of the product,
minus the original shipping cost.
